ASEMIC ZINES

This four-part publication series explores the history, purpose, and visual intrigue of asemic writing through an original typographic system inspired by ancient runes, symbolic scripts, and hieroglyphic forms. Designed as a folded booklet set, each piece combines informative editorial content with hand-crafted asemic symbols developed specifically for the project, creating a balance between communication and abstraction. The project required careful attention to advanced typographic principles such as line length, spacing, hierarchy, paragraph structure, and pacing in order to maintain readability while preserving visual experimentation. Through intricate folding mechanics and immersive visual storytelling, the series transforms educational content into an engaging tactile experience that emphasizes both conceptual depth and technical typographic precision.
