BID PROPOSAL

This project reimagines Houston as more than a conference destination by positioning it as a place of warmth, connection, and belonging. Developed as a strategic bid proposal for the fictional Holmes Weller Reunion, the concept draws inspiration from the real estate tradition of closing gifts to create a curated experience centered around hospitality and community. The project includes customized packaging, branded gifts, and a handcrafted informational booklet highlighting the George R. Brown Convention Center and Avenida Houston as spaces where business and human connection intersect.

Through a warm visual identity inspired by Houston’s landscape, the design system incorporates a custom real estate-inspired logo, layered typography, ribbon motifs, and illustrated picture frames to reinforce themes of home and familiarity. Finished with Japanese stab binding, the final publication emphasizes craftsmanship and thoughtful presentation. By combining brand strategy, editorial design, and physical packaging, this project positions Houston as a culturally rich and welcoming environment aligned with values of diversity, inclusivity, and long-term connection.
